PDF to PowerPoint

Runs in browser PDF Conversion

Every page becomes a slide sized like the page and holding a sharp picture of it, so the presentation looks exactly like the PDF. The page’s text goes into the speaker notes, where it stays searchable and copyable. The slides are images, not re-authored text boxes — this is stated on the page rather than hidden.

What is inside a DOCX or XLSX file?

A .docx, .xlsx or .pptx file is a ZIP package of XML parts defined by ECMA-376 / ISO/IEC 29500 (Office Open XML): document text and styles, worksheets and shared strings, slides and layouts, plus relationships, media and a core-properties part with author, dates and revision metadata. That is why such files can be read, previewed and converted in the browser without Office installed — and why their metadata deserves a look before they are shared.

Frequently asked questions about PDF to PowerPoint

Can I edit the text on the slides?

Not on the slide itself — each slide is a picture of the page. The page text is in the speaker notes to copy from, and PDF to Word gives you editable text if you need to rebuild slides.

What resolution should I choose?

150 dpi is crisp on a projector and keeps the file reasonable; 200 dpi for large screens or printing; 96 dpi for a quick, small file.

What slide size will I get?

The size of the first page: a landscape A4 PDF gives 11.7 × 8.3 in slides, a slide deck exported to PDF gets its 16:9 size back. Pages of other sizes are centred on the slide.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened and processed by your browser with WebAssembly and JavaScript; nothing is sent to Mutqan Soft or anyone else. Close the tab and the file is gone. Downloading the result needs a free account — no subscription, no payment.

What are the size limits?

Up to 250 MB and 2,000 pages per operation on a desktop browser, 60 MB and 500 pages on a phone, because everything runs in your device’s memory. The tool tells you before it starts if a file is over the limit.

Can I use it on a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password: the file list asks for it once and every operation then works on the decrypted pages. The output is saved without a password unless you protect it again.

Technical notes

pdf.js renders the selected pages to JPEG at the chosen dpi; pptxgenjs defines a custom layout from the first page’s size (capped at PowerPoint’s 56-inch limit), adds each picture full-bleed (other page sizes are fitted and centred) and writes the page text with addNotes. Output is produced as a Uint8Array in the browser.
