Can PDF pages be merged, split and reordered without changing their content?

Yes. ISO 32000 stores a document's pages as a tree of page objects, each pointing at its own content stream, fonts and images. Merging, splitting, extracting, reordering and rotating are edits to that tree — a rotation is a single /Rotate entry of 0, 90, 180 or 270 — so the page content is copied or re-referenced, never re-rendered, and text stays selectable and searchable. What can change is the document-level data around the pages: bookmarks, links between pages and form fields that referred to a page that was removed.

Frequently asked questions about PDF Page Organizer

What can I do on the grid?

Drag a page to a new position, rotate it with the rotate button or the R key, mark it removed with the bin button or Delete, reverse the whole order, rotate everything, and restore removed pages before you save.

How large a document can the grid show?

Thumbnails are rendered lazily as you scroll, so documents with hundreds of pages stay responsive; the grid shows up to 2,000 pages.

Can I add pages from another file here?

Not in the organizer — use Merge PDF or Insert Pages into PDF first, then organize the combined document.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened and processed by your browser with WebAssembly and JavaScript; nothing is sent to Mutqan Soft or anyone else. Close the tab and the file is gone. Downloading the result needs a free account — no subscription, no payment.

What are the size limits?

Up to 250 MB and 2,000 pages per operation on a desktop browser, 60 MB and 500 pages on a phone, because everything runs in your device’s memory. The tool tells you before it starts if a file is over the limit.

Can I use it on a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password: the file list asks for it once and every operation then works on the decrypted pages. The output is saved without a password unless you protect it again.

Technical notes

The organiser produces a layout of {index, rotate} tuples; the engine copies the referenced pages into a fresh document in that order and applies the rotations. The grid has one tile per page, so to repeat a page use Duplicate PDF Pages first.
