Can PDF pages be merged, split and reordered without changing their content?

Yes. ISO 32000 stores a document's pages as a tree of page objects, each pointing at its own content stream, fonts and images. Merging, splitting, extracting, reordering and rotating are edits to that tree — a rotation is a single /Rotate entry of 0, 90, 180 or 270 — so the page content is copied or re-referenced, never re-rendered, and text stays selectable and searchable. What can change is the document-level data around the pages: bookmarks, links between pages and form fields that referred to a page that was removed.

Frequently asked questions about Rotate PDF

Is the rotation permanent?

Yes. The page’s /Rotate attribute is written into the file, so every viewer, printer and phone opens it rotated — unlike the temporary rotation in a viewer’s toolbar.

Can I rotate only some pages?

Select them on the thumbnail grid or type their numbers (for example "2, 5-8" or "odd"); the other pages are left untouched.

Does rotating reduce quality?

No. Nothing is re-rendered; the content is the same and only its orientation changes.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened and processed by your browser with WebAssembly and JavaScript; nothing is sent to Mutqan Soft or anyone else. Close the tab and the file is gone. Downloading the result needs a free account — no subscription, no payment.

Can I use it on a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password: the file list asks for it once and every operation then works on the decrypted pages. The output is saved without a password unless you protect it again.

Technical notes

Rotation adds the angle to each page’s existing /Rotate value modulo 360, so a page already stored at 90° and rotated by 90° again reads 180°. Tools that draw on pages later (watermark, page numbers) compute their positions in the visual frame, so text added afterwards stays upright.
